Cofounder of the Greater Los Angeles Writer's Society Tony Todaro: A Pillar of the Southern California Writers’ Community Tony's influence stretched far and wide in the Southern California writers' community. His vigor and passion for literature were unparalleled, and his efforts were instrumental in shaping GLAWS into the thriving society it is today. Under his guidance, countless members transitioned from aspiring writers to accomplished authors, a testament to his unyielding dedication and creative spirit.
In addition to his significant role at GLAWS, Tony's legacy endures through the West Coast Writers Conferences (WC2), where his vision and leadership, alongside his widow and co-leader Lillian Todaro, have left an indelible mark on the literary world.
Tony is survived by his beloved wife Lillian. His loss is profoundly felt by all who knew him, and his spirit lives on in the countless writers he mentored and inspired.
As we mourn Tony's departure, we also celebrate his extraordinary life and contributions. His memory will continue to be a beacon of inspiration for current and future generations of writers. Tony Todaro's legacy will be honored on the 16th of March, in an upcoming gathering of friends, family, and members of the literary community. We invite all who were touched by his life and work to join us in celebrating a remarkable man whose impact on the world of literature will never be forgotten. |
