Executive Director 101

Executive Director 101 is a practical training designed to equip new and emerging nonprofit executive directors with the foundational skills, tools, and confidence needed to lead effectively. Grounded in nonprofit best practices and real-world leadership experience, the training focuses on the core responsibilities of the executive director role, including board relationships, governance, financial oversight, fundraising, staff leadership, communications, and organizational sustainability.

Through practical examples, peer discussion, and actionable resources, participants gain strategies they can immediately apply within their organizations. Executive Director 101 also addresses the realities of nonprofit leadership — balancing competing priorities, navigating board dynamics, building healthy organizational culture, and sustaining themselves as leaders. Whether stepping into the role for the first time or strengthening existing leadership skills, participants leave with a clearer roadmap for leading with confidence, clarity, and impact.

This is a virtual workshop.
