"Ethics for Engineers"


by Steve Hiner, P.E.

Steve Hiner, P.E., retired in December 2019 after a career spanning over 43 years. Currently Steve is working for the Nevada Board of Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors as their compliance investigator. He also has his own consulting firm, L.S. Hiner Consulting, PLLC that was formed in January 2020. He worked for Rinker Materials, a national manufacturer of precast concrete pipe and box culverts, for over 41 years. Considered and expert in his field, Steve held a number of positions at Rinker including Sales Engineer, Plant Manager, Corporate Engineer and Director of Product Development. Prior to joining Rinker Materials, he was a Technical Services Engineer and Materials Engineer for Martin Marietta Cement in the Washington, DC - Baltimore area. He is a 1976 graduate of the Virginia Military Institute with a B.S. Degree in Civil Engineering and is also a registered PE in the state of Texas. A member and contributor to ASTM (American Society for Testing and Materials) for over 25 years, he has been active in Committee C13 Concrete Pipe, C27 Precast Concrete and C09 Concrete and Concrete Aggregates. Steve was also involved with AASHTO (American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials), AREMA (American Railway Engineering and Maintenance-Of-Way Association) and the ACPA (American Concrete Pipe Association).

*Just One Project- Mobile Market*

What: Just One Project - Pop Up & Give - Mobile Market

Date: Saturday, March 29

Time: 7:30am-10:30am (until the food runs out, sometimes we get done sooner)

Where: Multiple Locations (select your location from the website link)


Volunteers help unload food pallets and distribute those food items to our drive through and walk-up clients. Please wear comfy closed toe shoes and bring some water. Children 10 and older are welcome to participate with their parents.
