Ryan Corcoran, Partner, Washington National Tax

RSM US LLP Washington, DC


Ryan Corcoran leads RSM’s Washington National Tax accounting methods and periods practice. In his role, he advises taxpayers on the implementation of accounting method strategies to optimize the recognition of income and expense items, as well as the identification of actions to take to mitigate IRS exam exposure in his area.


Ryan, a member of RSM’s tax policy team, educates companies and individuals on legislative impacts from Washington D.C. He is a former chair of the AICPA Technical Resource Panel for Tax Methods and Periods as well as a former chair of the ABA's Section of Taxation Tax Accounting committee. He regularly presents with other practitioners and members of the IRS Chief Counsel’s office on emerging tax issues facing companies today.

John Davitt, Partner, Tax Services

RSM US LLP Madison


John is a partner in RSM’s tax service practice and serves as the local tax connector for the Madison, Wisconsin office. John has experience providing tax compliance, consulting and provision services to corporations and partnerships.


Today, John provides tax compliance services to both closely held and private equity backed corporations and partnerships. Focused on serving companies in the industrial, consumer products and technology industries, John specializes in assisting companies in strategic tax planning, compliance and utilization of tax credits and incentives. John also serves as a member of RSM’s National Tech Leadership team.


John has also served as a member of RSM’s Washington National Tax group to develop technical resources and guidance related to emerging tax incentives and planning opportunities. He has also spent time as a member of RSM’s National Credits, Incentives & Methods team and regularly assists clients with research and development tax credits claims and audit defense. John is a subject matter expert and firm leader in the employee retention tax credit and related CARES Act incentives.
