Meet the Speakers!

Tony Buonodono, PE, PMP, ENV SP, is a Principal and Vice President at MWM DesignGroup, where he serves as Managing Director of Infrastructure Services. He leads multidisciplinary civil engineering and land surveying teams across water, wastewater, drainage, sidewalks, trails, and transportation projects.

With more than 21 years in public infrastructure — including over 15 years serving the City of Austin — Tony has built his career on public-sector work. He has served as the client’s single point of contact on multiple City of Austin Rotation List assignments and works regularly with municipalities across Travis, Williamson, and Hays counties, along with TxDOT, CTRMA, and the Texas Facilities Commission.

Tony holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Michigan State University and is a licensed Professional Engineer in Texas. He is a Past President of both the TSPE Travis Chapter and the ASCE Austin Branch.

Eric Busker, PE, serves as Director in BGE’s Transportation Systems department in Austin, where he leads transportation planning, corridor studies, and roadway design projects across Texas. With 15 years of experience in transportation engineering and planning, he has managed projects for TxDOT, MPOs, counties, and municipalities throughout the state. Eric is active in professional organizations including TSPE and is passionate about developing transportation solutions that improve safety, mobility, and quality of life for Texas communities.

Kristen J. Van Hoosier, PE, is a Group Lead at CobbFendley, licensed professional engineer, and mother of four who is passionate about building both strong communities and strong families. With more than a decade of experience leading municipal water and wastewater infrastructure projects across Central Texas, she also mentors emerging professionals and helps develop future leaders within her organization. A graduate of The University of Texas at Austin, Kristen has continued to advance her career while navigating the realities of raising four young children, often balancing leadership responsibilities, professional involvement, and family life simultaneously.

Beyond her role at CobbFendley, Kristen serves in leadership positions with the Texas Society of Professional Engineers (TSPE), the Texas Section of the American Water Works Association (TAWWA), and the Junior League of Austin, while also teaching group fitness classes as a certified Les Mills instructor. Her experiences as an engineer, leader, volunteer, wife, and mother have shaped her perspective on career growth, work-life integration, and the importance of defining success in a way that aligns with personal values. She is passionate about encouraging others to pursue ambitious professional goals while building fulfilling family lives.
