Course Description: This interactive and discussion-based training examines therapeutic interventions for individuals impacted by intimate partner violence (IPV) while challenging common misconceptions surrounding abuse and barriers to change. Participants will engage in ethical and clinically relevant conversations exploring client autonomy, systemic barriers to care, clinician bias, and the complexities of abusive relationships. Through real-world clinical perspectives and case-based discussion, this course aims to strengthen critical thinking, therapeutic engagement, and practical intervention skills when working with individuals affected by IPV.
Learning Objectives: By the conclusion of this course, participants will be able to:
- Identify common behaviors associated with intimate partner violence.
