WTS Charlotte Metro Chapter Lunch and Learn on Limiting Beliefs Featuring Iona Thomas, AICP

In continuing the successful start to our programs for 2024, the WTS Charlotte Metro Chapter is pleased to host Iona Thomas, AICP, Chief Growth + Strategy Officer for McAdams on Tuesday, June 18, 2024! Iona will present about how projects are often undercut by our own limited thinking. By challenging basic assumptions and thinking creatively about the unique opportunities for the City of Raleigh's Trenton Road Connector Project, the McAdams team was able to design a solution that closes a key gap in the trail network connecting to Umstead State Park with a 10-ft wide shared use path.

Our friends at McAdams will be hosting our event at their South End office. Surface parking is available at McAdam's building. Registration and networking will begin at 11:30am with the lunch program running from 12:00pm to 1:00pm. Lunch will be provided with registration. Space is limited due to the capacity of the conference room so we will not be able to accommodate walk-ins and encourage everyone to register ahead of time.

Engineers attending this program could earn 1.0 Professional Development Hours. WTS Charlotte Metro is working with APA to qualify this activity for Certification Maintenance (CM) credit. More information about ACIP's CM program can be found at www.planning.org/cm
