Introduction to Bloodstain Pattern Analysis on Fabrics and Digital Casework will teach the participants about the composition and construction of natural and synthetic fibers, construction of yarns, construction of fabrics, and the effect these variables have on the formation and appearance of bloodstains when liquid blood is deposited on these materials. 


Instruction will be through lectures, readings, discussion, and laboratory practical’s involving liquid blood, fabric, and clothing. Participants will learn how to examine, document, preserve, and write reports for bloodstained fabrics and clothing. In addition, participants will learn how to evaluate BPA cases that are provided in a digital format. 

The workshop is limited to 16 participants that have previously attended a minimum of a 40-hour Basic Bloodstain Pattern Analysis Workshop.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Due to rising costs and expenses generated by students who register for our courses and do not attend without notification, it has become necessary to institute the following policy:

In order to qualify for a full refund, students (or their employing agencies) must cancel no less than two weeks prior to the commencement of the course. Cancellations must be received via e-mail to the attention of the course coordinator. A confirmation of receipt and a cancellation number must be obtained from the coordinator. No claims will be accepted unless the aforementioned is adhered to. Cancellations made within the two week time period are subject to a $150 fee. Substitutions of students may be made at any time. Please call us immediately if you have any questions.

NOTE: NO-SHOWS (INCLUDING THOSE WHO CANCEL AFTER 3PM ON THE THURSDAY PRECEDING THE COURSE) WILL BE INVOICED THE FULL REGISTRATION FEE.
