Group study is an incredible opportunity to understand how to interact musically with other people. It involves patience, deep listening, and at times going outside of your comfort zone in order to improve musically.

Percussion music is based on interlocking patterns played by different people, sometimes on a variety of instruments. In a group there will always be a range of different experience levels. Simpler patterns are played by beginners and more challenging patterns are played by players with more experience.

The best way to learn this music (and to enjoy the benefits of playing it) is to spend time in a group setting with other people of varying experience levels.

You will absorb a rhythmic vibe that is created by the interaction of the different patterns. This musical interaction is very powerful and can only be learned in person with other players playing their respective parts. It is a kind of musical sharing and is best learned together.

Beginners are welcome to all workshops, and all instruments are provided.

Please note that all registrations are final, non-transferable & non-refundable.
