| This course provides officers with the enhanced skills and refinement of existing skills in safe vehicle operation in today’s traffic environment, including pursuit, emergency response, and timed pursuit. This course includes the basic 8-Hour plus the additional driving activities.
Other than the timed pursuit course, this is not a high-speed EVOC course.
For this driving course, it is encouraged that the participant bring a vehicle that they will use for their day-to-day job duties with their department. The participant can use their duty vehicle on the driving course so they can receive real-world training related to the vehicle used on a day-to-day basis. If you choose not to use your own duty vehicle for the driving course, the Missouri Safety Center is able to provide one; however, it may not meet the standards of your current vehicle. |
