DESCRIPTION:As we celebrate 250 years of our country\, revisit the New York State Freedom Train\, which toured the state in 1949 and 1950.  The Freedom Train carried 83 historic documents including the draft of the United States Constitution\, the Flushing Remonstrance and the second New York State Constitution\, a petition for Women’s suffrage\, and the 1799 state law for the gradual abolition of enslavement.  Join us as we explore these and the other documents on the train and how they can be used by parents\, teachers and students.
