The Emerson Leadership Institute at the Chaifetz School of Business is excited to continue the Dignity-Based Leadership Development Series for the 2024-2025 academic year. This program features in-person retreats with leadership speakers, panels, and interactive workshops designed to help participants enhance their leadership skills and build cohesive, high-performing teams.
Following the success of our first Fostering Dignity and Belonging workshop in September, with 35 business faculty and staff in attendance, we are offering a second iteration on October 11, 2024.
Survey findings reveal that participants found the workshop highly impactful, particularly in reflecting on past experiences of belonging, assessing meeting protocols for dignity violations, and adopting strategies to foster inclusivity. Many appreciated the practical advice on allowing team members to speak first, ensuring equitable access to information, and creating a welcoming environment for both students and colleagues. Partner discussions also proved effective in sparking valuable insights and practical applications.
In light of these findings and to provide more opportunities for faculty and staff to participate, we are offering the second Fostering Dignity and Belonging workshop on October 11, 2024.
