Earth Month Santa Monica Dune Restoration and Yoga Morning of Mindfulness

Volunteer with The Bay Foundation for Earth Month and enhance native dune habitat in the Santa Monica Beach Dune project! Participants will help remove invasive plant species, spread native plant seed and learn about the importance of coastal dunes.

Come join Santa Monica Yoga for a Special Morning of Mindfulness and The Bay Foundation on dune restoration event this Earth month. Participants will help enhance native dune habitat by removing invasive plant species, collecting seed, and learn about the importance of coastal dunes.

Meeting Location: At Marvin Braude Bike Trail, Lifeguard Tower 4 and Lot 9 north, 530 Pacific Coast Highway, Santa Monica, 90402.


Bike

Those traveling on bike can follow the Marvin Braude Bike Trail until the Annenberg Community Beach House/Lot 9 North/Tower 16. Look out for our flags!


Public Transit

Those traveling via public transit can utilize a variety of routes along 4th St or into Downtown Santa Monica and should then take the Montana Ave staircase toward the beach, heading north along the Ocean Front Walk. Those wishing to avoid stairs can also take the California Incline footpath.


Parking

Paid parking is available. Nearest parking lot is at Lot 9 North, 530 Pacific Coast Highway, Santa Monica, 90402. Additional parking at Annenberg Community beach house Parking Lot, 415 Pacific Coast Hwy, Santa Monica, CA 90402. Cost $10-12.

Meditation – Begin the morning with a grounding meditation session led by Santa Monica Yoga


9:00 AM to 11:30 AM

Dune Restoration – Join The Bay Foundation in giving back to the local environment through a hands-on habitat restoration event by spreading native dune seed
