Elementary Teachers: Finding the "Normal" in Normalization

This 2-session Zoom workshop offers an updated look at the Montessori concept of normalization through the lens of contemporary theorists and researchers. Develop specific, individualized strategies to foster normalization in your own classroom.
Registrants will attend both sessions, 1.5 hours each, on February 1st and 8th, 2025. Time: 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. PDT.
Facilitator Betsy Lockhart is a 30-year Montessori veteran, having taught in the classroom and teacher training programs. Her lesson albums and classroom guides are in use on 6 continents.

Learning Objectives:

Attendees will be able to describe how normalization at the elementary level differs from other levels by applying the findings of contemporary researchers and theorists to Dr. Montessori’s descriptions of normalization. They will develop specific, individualized strategies to foster normalization in their own classrooms that can be immediately implemented.

Refund Policy: Cancellations by registrant must be received in writing at info@meipn.org by midnight two days prior to workshop. Fee will be fully refunded less at $10 processing fee. Cancellations after that date are not refundable.

Cancellation Policy: MEIPN reserves the right to cancel the class due to unforeseen circumstances. In the event of a cancellation prior to the start of class a full refund, minus credit card fees, will be issued.
