In this seminar, participants will learn how best to respond when they receive a subpoena and how to prepare for court testimony related to mandated clients. Participants will learn ways to manage the intersection between the expectations of the legal system for court-ordered clients and clinical practice.

Jessica V. Hunt, JD, LPC


Jessica V. Hunt is an Attorney and Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the State of Oklahoma. With more than ten years of experience, Ms. Hunt’s background includes criminal, employment and compliance law, with a focus in family and domestic issues. Ms. Hunt offers services to clients who need emotional care as well as to those with legal needs in family and deprived cases. In her counseling practice, Ms. Hunt focuses on recovery from trauma and other adverse life experiences with the use of person-centered and practical techniques, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). As a former litigator, Ms. Hunt’s legal practice is currently centered on providing litigation consulting and resources to create understanding and fluidity in the mental health and legal fields. Ms. Hunt is the sole owner and operator of Hunt Counseling and Consulting, LLC and Hunt Legal Services, PLLC.

Ms. Hunt has a Juris Doctorate (2010) from the University of Tulsa and a Master of Education degree in Applied Behavioral Studies (2017) from Oklahoma City University. Ms. Hunt has extensive training in gender dynamics, domestic violence and coercive control, and uses this experience and training to assist both legal and counseling clients achieve freedom from abusive relationships. Ms. Hunt is a National Certified Counselor (NCC), a Certified Custody Evaluator (CCE), and serves on the Lawyers Helping Lawyers and Bench and Bar Committees for the Oklahoma Bar Association.

To earn CE credit, participants must be on time, sign in and sign out, attend the entire course and complete a course evaluation. This is a 2 hour course. Partial credit is not permitted. Must be present the full 2 hours to receive CE certificate. Certificates of completion will be emailed within 5 business days of course completion.


CE Statements:

Summit BHC, provider #2057, is approved to offer social work continuing education by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program. Regulatory boards are the final authority on courses accepted for continuing education credit. ACE provider approval period: 07/31/2025 - 07/31/2028. Social workers completing this course receive 2 clinical continuing education credits.
