Please join us for a community presentation focused on inspiring, connecting, and advancing Illinois women-owned businesses, future women business owners, and aspiring female entrepreneurs with business resources and opportunities offered across Illinois' entrepreneurial ecosystem. During this free, in-person resource presentation & conversation, we will also answer your questions. Connecting HER with Illinois Business Resources-Bloomington is presented and hosted by the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity (DCEO), the Bloomington-Normal Economic Development Council (BNEDC), and the Illinois Small Business Development Center of McLean County at Illinois Wesleyan University (IL SBDC of McLean County at IWU), together with the business and entrepreneurial ecosystems.

Lauren will provide an overview of DCEO’s key programs and services including from the Regional Economic Development team, for women at different business stage levels.  

 

Michelle Lura White: Women’s Business Development Manager (Illinois’ liaison to women-owned businesses and future women entrepreneurs), Office of Minority Economic Empowerment (OMEE) at DCEO | link  

Michelle will provide an overview of business resources offered for women at different business stage levels, including from the Office of Minority Economic Empowerment (OMEE).  

 

The Illinois Small Business Development Center of McLean County at Illinois Wesleyan University (IL SBDC of McLean County at IWU) | link  

Sarah Gliege: Director

Sarah will provide an overview of how the IL SBDC of McLean County at IWU provides advising for women-owned businesses at all business stage levels, industries, etc.

Francie will provide an overview of the Founding Females® Mastermind, meetup events for women in central Illinois, and additional business tools.

Danielle will share how she connects women and will end our presentations with inspiration.

Denise Moore: CEO/Founder

Denise will provide an overview of the MBDC's programs and services including programs for youth innovators.


U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA)-Illinois District Office | link

Timothy “Levi” Kinnard: Branch Manager of Springfield Illinois Branch Office 

Levi will provide an overview of the SBA’s key programs and tools for women-owned businesses including funding programs.

Shelby will provide an overview of WE's free platform, the Women's Entrepreneurship Hub.
