SUMMER 2026 PROGRAM: Our summer 2026 programs are focused on educating teachers (& potential teachers) about literacy, art and diversity in Waldorf Education.
PROGRAM TITLE: Honoring Human Dignity in our World Today - Three View Points
DATES: July 1 - 3, 2026
TIMES: 9:00am - 12:00pm
LOCATION: Online on Zoom
TEACHERS: July 1: Anjum Mir July 2: Masumi Hayashi-Smith July 3: Linda Williams
COST: $125 per session, $360 for all three
Anjum Mir: Anjum's teaching journey spans over 30 years and focuses on child development and spiritual wellbeing. Anjum is the Co-Director at the Westside Waldorf School in Los Angeles. She is on the faculty of several teacher training institutions and leads workshops and parenting classes from prenatal through middle school. She also serves as Board Chair of WECAN and co-edits G a t e w a y s .
Masumi Hayashi-Smith: Masumi (they/them) is a biracial anti-racism educator and music teacher. They studied Africana studies and, as a Fulbright fellow, researched history education in post-war Sri Lanka. Masumi holds an M.M. in Kodaly pedagogy and trained with Sunbridge Institute in Waldorf Elementary Music. Masumi is an associate with Alma Partners.
Linda Williams: Linda holds an M.A. in Waldorf Teacher Education and a PhD in literacy education. Besides Detroit Waldorf she taught at the first U.S. public Waldorf school. She later spent eight years as an associate professor of literacy at Eastern Michigan University, returning to the Waldorf classroom in 2014. She now serves on multiple educational councils and boards, including AWSNA, and she co-founded Alma Partners.
ABOUT SUMMER WEEK #1: This program is for anybody interested in Human Dignity.
WHO CAN JOIN:
- Anyone who is curious about becoming a Waldorf Teacher (you will earn credits that can be applied to your Waldorf Teaching certificate when you apply for the full program).
- Anyone curious about expanding their knowledge on Waldorf Education
- Anyone wanting to gain more insights into Waldorf Education Programs
