In celebration of America’s 250th anniversary, the Black Patriots Commemoration Project, in collaboration with the International Civil Rights Center & Museum, presents Unsung Heroes: Black Patriots of the Revolution. This three-day program highlights often-overlooked African Americans who, in pursuit of freedom, helped shape American independence. Through performance, film, interpretation, and conversation, the weekend connects their stories and the ideals of the American Revolution to the American story. Friday is dedicated to students and teachers; Saturday and Sunday are open to the public. |
