This group's members come from many countries, and their diverse cultures have helped enrich American life for generations.

The discussion will highlight the importance of leveraging the collective power of a community's shared values to foster innovation, resilience, and a sense of belonging; build on traditions; and inspire future generations to achieve continued success. It will also offer a current snapshot of how decisions in higher education, healthcare, the labor market, and other social or economic sectors affect the AANHPI community.

About the Speaker

Fahmida Chhipa is currently the president of the Federal Asian Pacific American Council (FAPAC) and its National Board of Directors. Since joining FAPAC in 2012, she has served in various executive capacities and was the recipient of FAPAC’s Outstanding Individual Leadership Award in 2015.

In addition to her FAPAC duties, Chhipa is an Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) specialist at the U.S. Department of Agriculture's National Agricultural Statistics Service, where she oversees Special Emphasis Program managers; conducts compliance reviews; and organizes and hosts EEO/civil rights and leadership training programs.
