2024 Audiology Resources Boot Camp: Foundations of Audiology Clinical Operations

Please join us for a two-day training event, focusing on the foundations of compliance, coding, managed care/revenue cycle, pricing and differentiation, and ethical/legal considerations in an audiology practice. This course is geared to audiologists, audiology and billing staff, and students. This course offers up to 16 hours of audiology continuing education.



Audiology Resources will be hosting a Face to Face Event at the Doubletree Downtown Asheville, North Carolina on October 17-18, 2024.The course will run Thursday and Friday from 8AM to 5:00PM CST. There will be a 15 minute morning and afternoon break and a 45 minute lunch break each day. This course will not be recorded (if you are interested in a recorded event, that is available, after March 1, 2024 at Audiology Resources website.

Each event includes no charge, one on one questions, guidance and coaching until December 31, 2024. 


Audiology Resources, Inc. is approved by the American Academy of Audiology to offer Academy CEUs for this activity. The program is worth a maximum of 1.6 CEUs. Academy approval of this continuing education activity is based on course content only and does not imply endorsement of course content, specific products, or clinical procedure, or adherence of the event to the Academy's Code of Ethics. Any views that are presented are those of the presenter/CE Provider and not necessarily of the American Academy of Audiology. 


The course is geared to audiology practices, otolaryngology practices which house an audiology department, hospital audiology departments or hearing aid dispensing practices which employ audiologists. Registration is open to administrators, practice managers, audiologists, coders, office staff, hearing aid dispensers and AuD students.  

Day #1 Agenda:

Morning: Compliance and Ethical Legal (HIPAA, Anti-Kickback, False Claims, Stark Laws, No Surprises Act, FDA Regulations, Licensure, and Documentation) 

Afternoon: Fundamentals of Coding (CPT, Including Pediatric, Tinnitus, APD, Implantable Device, Telehealth and Evaluation and Management, Coding Scenarios, ICD10, HCPCS, Modifiers, Place of Service Codes) and Medicare and Medicaid


Day #2 Agenda:

Morning: Managing Managed Care/Revenue Cycle (Review of Terminology, Managed Care Enrollment, Contracting and Credentialing, and Billing Processes and Procedures)

Afternoon: Insurance Verification, Private Insurance Billing Fundamentals, and Third-party Administrators/Networks Tips, Pricing and Differentiation (Creation and Monetization of a 21st century, Patient Centered, Evidence-Based Audiology Practice, Teleaudiology, Creation of Pricing and Delivery Models, Including Unbundling and Service Delivery Models, and Concierge/Mobile Care Models) 


Dr. Cavitt will address questions following the conclusion of the Boot Camp, for the registration fee, until December 31, 2024. This service is built into the cost of the event.  


AUDIOLOGY RESOURCES WILL ONLY ANSWER QUESTIONS FROM PAID REGISTRANTS. THERE WILL BE NO EXCEPTIONS. 


Registration Information:

  • When registering for the Boot Camp, each registrant must register with a unique name and email address. This is a CEU requirement.  
  • If you are seeking association CEUs, you must include your membership number in your registration. CEUs cannot be processed without your member number. 
  • Please let us know, in advance, if you require a certificate of attendance so we can have it prepared and sent to you. Certficates are available for attendees who request a certficate and who are NOT AAA members (as those will be reported and appear on your registry). This could mean that certificates are disseminated around December 1, 2024. 
  • Registrants will not be able to record the event. The video and electronic slides are the property of Audiology Resources, Inc. and cannot be used, printed, recorded or disseminated without the written consent of Audiology Resources, Inc. Registrants can purchase, for an additional fee, recorded access to the event. 
  • Boot camp registrations are non-refundable after October 1, 2024. There is a $25 processing fee for all other refunds.
