BLOCK X BLOCK brings Detroit community leaders and University of Michigan voices together monthly to listen, learn, and act. The series builds trust, shared understanding, and pathways to meaningful change- block by block. The first session, focused on Immigration and Voting Rights, will feature brief presentations by Miguel Rodriguez, Rachel Marquez, and community organizers from Detroit Hispanic Development Corporation, as well as UM-Dearborn professor and practicing immigration attorney Shahad Atiya, followed by a facilitated discussion and a storytelling/listening circle. |
