WHAT: Join Willamette Riverkeeper and the City of Corvallis Parks team for a paddling cleanup effort from Crystal Lake to Michael's Landing, including the area within the Marys River confluence. We will collect trash from both the water and the adjacent riverbanks. Bring your own boat, or reserve a seat on our raft or in one of our inflatable kayaks.

WHEN & WHERE: Thursday, April 16th, 2026 | 9AM - 12:30PM

Please meet at the Crystal Lake Boat Ramp, located at 100 SE Fischer Lane, Corvallis, OR 97333. We will unload boats and gear, run through a safety briefing, and organize a self shuttle of vehicles to the takeout.

DETAILS: Please be on time! We will aim to get on the water by 9:30AM, but initial setup can take a little while. Please dress for the weather, bring water, and wear sturdy closed-toe shoes that you are comfortable getting wet/muddy. Willamette Riverkeeper will provide trash bags, gloves, and trash grabbers. PFDs will be provided and must be worn at all times on the river to participate in this event.

BYOB? Please be proficient paddling in moving water for this event, and always be aware of high water currents.

QUESTIONS? Reach out to event coordinator Luke Stuntz at lukestuntz@willametteriverkeeper.org.

NOTE: A small film crew will be on site for this cleanup to film an educational video related to river cleanups. Volunteers joining for this cleanup should expect to be in the background of some footage for the video (no interviews or direct interaction will be required). If you have concerns about this, please contact lukestuntz@willametteriverkeeper.org.
