This class looks at the ancient Chinese classic, the I Ching, as a collection of life lessons.  The I Ching hexagrams and commentaries are focused on the essence of the movement of change, describing our experience of time in the language of archetypal images, stories and counsel.  Through interacting with the I Ching, we have the opportunity to experience the same timeless situations and lessons in our daily life that humans have been experiencing forever.  When we work with the I Ching, we enter a liminal state that connects us with the collective unconscious and we experience ourselves as the representative of all of those that came before us, our ancestors.  Through gaining awareness of “right timing/right action” we can learn lessons and make conscious choices that help heal the ghosts of the past that still affect our present-day lives.
