| WHAT: Join Willamette Riverkeeper and the Eugene REC team for a paddling cleanup effort from Alton Baker Park to Valley River Center. Reserve a seat in one of our rafts, or bring your own boat. PFDs required.
WHEN & WHERE: Tuesday, June 11, 2024 | 8:30AM - 12:30PM BYOBr's: Please unload your boat at Alton Baker Park Boat Ramp at 8:30AM. We will shuttle you back to your rig at the ends of the day. EVERYONE ELSE NOTE MEETUP CHANGE: Please meet at the River House Outdoor Center, 301 N. Adams Street, at 8:30AM. We will all shuttle back to the put-in at Alton Baker Park boat ramp in a City of Eugene shuttle bus.
DETAILS: Please be on time! We will aim to get on the water by 9:15AM beginning with a safety briefing and clean up plan before heading out. Please dress for the weather and getting wet (no cotton!), bring water, and wear sturdy closed-toe shoes. Willamette Riverkeeper will provide trash bags, gloves, and trash grabbers. PFDs are required and must be worn at all times on the river to participate in this event.
BYOB? Please be proficient paddling in Class II moving water for this river segment.
