Description:

The OhioMHAS Youth Peer Support Training is a 40-hour training curriculum that is the only approved training for Certified Youth Peer Supporters in the state of Ohio. This training provides participants with an understanding of youth peer support and equips them with tools and supports that can be used when working with peers in a provider setting. This training will be held virtually May 29 - June 2, 2024 from 9:00 am - 6:00 pm.


Who is Eligible to Attend?

In order to attend this training, participants must be interested in becoming Certified Youth Peer Supporters. Individuals interested in participating must be between the ages of 18-30 who have direct mental health/substance abuse lived experience. Interested participants must also have a high school diploma/GED. Special note that participants must be able to attend the entire 40-hour training.

All interested participants of this training must submit a training application. Once OhioMHAS has reviewed your application, you will be sent a confirmation email of your training attendance and will be provided with further training details.
