Mini BOW - Water, Women & Wine

Looking to get out on the water, learn new skills or get a refresh?

Join us for the 2025 Mini BOW - Water, Women & Wine. Spend the weekend at Nishna Bend Recreation Area and Prairie Rose State Park. We will spend Friday evening on the lake, practicing our skills, then head out Saturday morning for a day on the river. Lunch will be on the water, either at a sandbar or on the shore at Prairie Rose. At this time, river levels looks great, but our final paddling location is dependent upon water levels.

Saturday evening we'll eat and then head to Harlan, IA to learn about freeze drying. Then back to the fire to relax and enjoying each other's company. Sunday we'll make breakfast and then head out for a forest therapy session before we head home. Free onsite camping is available, otherwise lodging is on your own. A tentative agenda is below. About two weeks prior to the event you'll receive a suggested packing list and updated agenda. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out to Christina at croelofs@shco.org.

Registration is open until July 14 for new participants. After July 14, registration is open to any interested attendee. Please note, this event is for ages 21 and older. Registration is $150 and that includes all meals on Saturday and breakfast on Sunday, as well as all equipment needed to participate in the weekend event.
