| Join us on June 28 for a 2-hour massage workshop designed for couples or companions who want to learn how to support one another through bodywork. Participants will learn basic assisted stretching and massage techniques and will leave with a sequence they can perform at home.
What you’ll learn
- Therapeutic massage techniques to safely address day-to-day stress and injury complaints.
- How to prevent self-injury and injury to your companion while performing a massage.
- Techniques to develop open communication about pressure and quality of touch preferences.
This class is geared towards, but not limited to, romantic couples or life partners. Anyone wishing to cultivate their ability to support the people in their lives through massage is welcome to join. That said, the cost of admission is for two people, and anyone wishing to attend must bring a massage partner with whom they feel safe exchanging close touch. Many of the techniques in this class will require the ability to get up off the floor, squat, or kneel. Bolsters, blankets, and mats will be provided; however, please be mindful of your personal limits.
