Testimonials

This is the program you never knew you needed. It is such an easy-going process and the facilitators are so unintrusive that your growth will take you by surprise at the end of the course.

This has been a wonderful refresher. With this class, I've realized my stress has been caused by reactions to situations that arise in the classroom and the stress led to great tension in my upper back. Since taking this course, the tension in my upper back has been relieved. Thank you so much for all the teachings, they have benefited me very much.

MKM's vision is to improve the lives of all children in the community by giving them access to mindfulness skills that reduce stress and anxiety, develop attention and focus, promote emotional regulation and impulse control, teach empathy and compassion, and create a sense of well-being

The M-Body & Mind Training is based on the foundations of the Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) program, the golden standard of mindfulness research-based programs in the world. The M-Body Training was created to make the essential teachings of MBSR accessible to time-constrained adults who work with or care for children.

In this training, participants will be introduced to mindfulness through topics including the impact of the brain’s default mode, perception, stress, and mindfulness practice on educators and students. Participants will be invited to experience a variety of brief focused-attention practices and will receive a weekly email with home practice suggestions, supplemental learning materials, and resources for moving forward.

The many benefits of mindfulness practice range from reducing stress, burnout, and anxiety, to increasing sleep quality, pain management, and quality of relationships. For educators, practicing mindfulness has also been shown to improve resilience, classroom culture, connection with students, and student behavior.

*This course serves as a prerequisite for the Mindful Teacher Training Program (MTTP) and the MTTP Short Course
