DESCRIPTION:The Empire-Sauk Chapter of The Prairie Enthusiasts is offering basic training for those interested in prescribed fire. This 1-day class is for people without previous experience in prescribed fire or who want a refresher. The training will follow the guidelines of the Wisconsin Prescribed Fire Council. Successful participation in this training\, plus attending a field training session\, plus helping on two burns with The Prairie Enthusiasts as an apprentice\, provides qualifications to be a new crew member on The Prairie Enthusiasts' burns.
