Summit Center Webinar with Dr. Loraine Van Tuyl

Conscious Parenting: Shifting from Auto-Pilot to Aligned

Our strong-willed, sensitive, and intense 2e kids often cause us to stop in our “automatic pilot” tracks. In the neurotypical world, we normally tackle life's demands and challenges by becoming more focused, efficient, and productive. Much to our dismay and frustration, this approach often backfires with kids and leads to more emotional outbursts, melt downs, and power struggles, ultimately resulting in longer and more frequent delays.

In this free webinar, Summit Center’s Dr. Loraine Van Tuyl will shed light on the inner worlds of her child clients* and why they become more cooperative, resilient, and regulated the more we slow down, become more aware and intentional, and deepen our authentic presence.

Loraine Van Tuyl, PhD, is a licensed psychologist at Summit Center, providing therapy services to 2e, neurodivergent, and gifted children, adolescents, and adults. She offers children and teens an inviting and safe space to explore bewildering and overwhelming pressures, needs, and emotions through the use of expressive arts, journaling, and play and sandtray therapies. Dr. Van Tuyl has shared her extensive clinical expertise at professional conventions, universities, on radio shows and podcasts, and in articles and books including Amazon Wisdom Keeper: a Psychologist’s Memoir of Spiritual Awakening and Soul Authority.

Details: Wednesday, April 16, 12:00 noon Pacific. Online via Zoom. FREE.
