Closing - Songs and Activities to End the Day

Valerie Wheeler has 17 years of experience teaching and building music programs. She recently moved to Washington from Dallas, Texas to become the music director at Woodinville Montessori School. In Texas, Valerie taught music and theater at White Rock Montessori and The Clariden School. She also taught music at Redeemer Montessori, in addition to leading a teaching workshop for classroom teachers. Valerie incorporates the Orff, Dalcroze, and Kodaly methods for teaching music, which give children opportunities to sing, move, play, compose and collaborate in an environment that fosters creativity and community.

STARS CREDIT - 4 hours available on completion

Workshop fee: $50 payable via check payable to MEIPN.  

Refund Policy: Cancellations by registrant must be received in writing at [email protected] by midnight April 18. Fee will be fully refunded less at $10 processing fee. Cancellations after April 18 are not refundable.

Cancellation Policy: MEIPN reserves the right to cancel the class due to unforeseen circumstances. In the event of a cancellation prior to the start of class a full refund, minus credit card fees, will be issued.  

Emergency Closure Policy:  If weather or other conditions necessitate rescheduling, you will be notified via email, so please check your email if any questions.

Photo & Recording Release: Participants acknowledge that by attending any part of the workshop they are agreeing that their picture/likeness may be taken/recorded and they release permission for that picture/likeness to be used by the Montessori Education Institute of the Pacific Northwest (MEIPN) as it sees fit. They attest that they are not entitled to any form of monetary/financial compensation for the use of the likeness, have not been promised such, and recognize MEIPN need not and will not provide compensation for any type of use of their picture/likeness.
