A day filled with history at 3 sites! Celebrate Flag Day at the schoolhouse. Learn about a variety of flags on display indoors and out, view a flag retiring ceremony at 1 & 2 pm., along with a scavenger hunt and flag crafts for kids. Visitors welcome to bring a flag to retire.
Optional visit to the 1812 Moffett Mill, "frozen in time" with equipment still in place as it was when the Moshassuck River powered the machinery and workman created machine parts from the metal and wood lathes. Access by shuttle van only, every 45 minutes with last at 2:45. Also, free demos at the Blacksmith Shop. |
