Join a roundtable discussion to learn about how to maximize your use and enjoyment of Garmin’s Active Captain and Navionics software.

Knowledge helps overcome fear and uncertainty of upgrades and downloads by sharing experiences with other squadron members who also use the equipment/software.

ActiveCaptain and Navionics are companion marine applications owned by Garmin that work together to bridge your mobile device with your compatible boat's chartplotter.

The integration works in the following ways:

  • Navionics Boating App: Primarily used for standalone chart plotting, routing, and accessing detailed marine and lake map layers.

  • Garmin ActiveCaptain App: Used to wirelessly sync data (routes, tracks, markers) between your Navionics app and your Garmin chartplotter, purchase map subscriptions (via the OneChart feature), update device software, and access the ActiveCaptain Community (a massive database of crowd-sourced marina reviews and hazard warnings).

Leaders will be Chuck Brown and Mike Helgesen

Class will be held Tuesday, November 10 from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm at White Bluff Presbyterian Church, Savannah.

Cost:   $10 for USPS members, $15 for non-members.

Any questions contact Chuck Brown (912-313-0732) or Mike Helgesen (203-948-8620).
