SUMMARY:The Chicken and The Egg?
DESCRIPTION:In opera can it still be true\, as Salieri the famous composer and rival of Mozart said\, "Prima la musica\, poi le parole" (First the music and then the words)? Or have years of innovations in opera flipped the narrative? Or is it something altogether different? \n\nJoin composer Laura Kaminsky\, librettist Andrea Fellows Fineberg\, and mezzo sopranos Olga Perez Flora and Blythe Gaissert in a lively conversation on what happens when and why in creating an opera in the 21st century. \n\nPlease join us for this free-to-the-community event\, thanks to our generous sponsors\, Dianna and John Shomaker.
