| Event Basics: Join Willamette Riverkeeper, Willamette Kayak and Canoe Club, and Oregon Paddle Sports for a paddling cleanup effort along the Willamette River through Springfield. We'll start from Clearwater Park, pick up trash along roughly six miles of the river, and take out at the Aspen Street Boat Ramp. We will be collecting trash from both the waterway and the adjacent riverbanks, so volunteers should be prepared to get wet and muddy! This is a "bring your own boat" event – so if you aren't planning on paddling your own boat, and you know a friend with a tandem kayak, canoe, drift boat, or raft, hop in with them!
After the cleanup, we hope that you'll join us for a volunteer appreciation party at 1:30pm in Eugene (location TBD) featuring drinks, light food, and a free raffle for all volunteers. |
