Back to School: Kids and Pollinators—Creating a Statewide Movement

School’s almost back in session, which is a great time to talk about how we can make schoolyards safer and healthier for both kids and pollinators. Join us for a conversation with advocates, educators, and movement-builders who are working to reduce pesticide use in and around schools, empower kids to be pollinator protectors, and build a stronger statewide effort for change.

Whether you’re a parent, teacher, student, school administrator, or someone who simply cares about healthy environments, you’ll walk away with ideas, inspiration, and ways to get involved.

Meet Our Panelists

Tiffany Boyd

Classrooms for Climate Action (C4CA) Executive Director

After growing up in Boulder, Tiffany taught in the Boulder Valley School District for 27 years and understands the unique challenges facing educators today. Throughout her teaching career, she has been passionate about getting students civically engaged. While teaching, Tiff started a club which connected students to local issues in their community.

After retiring in 2019, she was inspired by Greta Thunberg and started C4CA to connect teachers and students with local climate action. Together with other retired teachers and local community members passionate about climate action, C4CA helps teachers integrate climate into what they are already teaching.
