Show off your Lawn Fawn cards with Gidget at our Card Swap |
|
| Inspire and be inspired by others at the handmade card swap and exchange with our own Team Member Gidget Viani. Have fun and meet new crafty friends. The Card Swap is completely optional, however we had nearly 75 participants at our Winter 2026 event and each card was so incredible and unique.
The rules are simple:
- Bring 24 total cards (23 to swap and one for display/vote)
- Cards should be identical and made from your favorite Lawn Fawn products
- Please include envelopes to fit your card (as we don't all make the same size cards)
- Everyone loves to know who created the cards. Perhaps put a contact card inside the card (not on the card) so that people can share with others.
- Feel free to make two sets and participate twice
- Bring a bag or basket for our "swap activity" - one for each set created
All cards will be on the display board to admire and vote for your favorite. Crowd favorite wins a prize! |
|
Time to Get Groovy At Our Make-n-Take Frenzy |

We scheduled this in the afternoon this year so you can finish earlier in the day and be rested for Saturday’s activities.
Dress up as much or as little as you like to express your own groovy vibe — from full-on bell bottoms, tie-dye, and peace-sign accessories to a simple retro pin or funky sunglasses. Come comfy, get creative, and feel free to strike a pose at our photo booth to show off your look! |
|
Get your groove on and your sugar fix — swing by our mini dessert bar in the evening for a righteous selection of bite-sized delights. Indulge in funky flavors, share a treat with new friends, and sprinkle a little extra sweetness on your crafty afternoon. |

Join us for an evening of creativity, connection, and crafty fun with our Shoe Box Swap!
Get ready for an exciting addition to our Peace Love & Lawn Fawn Adventure! Launched during our wildly successful Fall 2025 Adventure, this activity is back by popular demand! Join us on Friday evening for a fun-filled experience brimming with inspiration, creativity, and a fantastic sense of community. Don’t miss out on this uplifting activity!
Not sure what a Shoe Box Swap is? Ever thought about becoming a card-making instructor? This fun swap is a chance to get your feet wet. It’s a relaxed, fun way to meet your fellow Adventurers, get those creative juices flowing, and build your card stash at the same time! Once you decide to participate, you will be randomly assigned a table for the afternoon activity. You will be the instructor of your creation to everyone assigned to your table along with everyone else in your group teaching their creation. Here’s how the swap works:
Create a Card If you’d like to join the fun, design a simple card that can easily be recreated using your favorite products from Lawn Fawn and basic card making supplies (dry adhesive, wet adhesive, foam squares and bone folder). Remember, for this activity, we want you to show off your paper crafting skills, but keep in mind others will only have 10 minutes to recreate your design. Save your more intricate designs for Friday evening’s traditional card swap. This is all about having fun and making new friends!
Prepare Your Supplies Put together everything needed to make your card in 8 individual kits - one for you to teach and 7 for everyone else in your group. This includes pre-cut cardstock and papers, stamps (on blocks), ink, embellishments, and any other essentials. Since die-cutting machines won’t be available, make sure to pre-cut any die cuts. There will only be about 10 minutes to complete each card, not allowing enough time for coloring during this activity. So, if your design includes any colored images, please pre-color them. Don’t forget to include envelopes! Then, place your sample card and supplies in—yep, you guessed it—a shoe box!
Let the Fun Begin! Bring your shoe box to the event room Friday evening:
- Set it at a place at your designated table. We will randomly assign people to tables, so you may not get to sit with other friends attending the event – imagine the new friends you will walk away with!
- Everyone at the table will be given the chance to teach their card.
- You’ll chat, laugh, and connect with new friends as you craft.
- By the end of the activity, your box will be full of amazing creations. You’ll leave with new memories, new friends, and a stash of handmade cards!
How Do I Participate? Ready to join the Shoe Box Swap? It's easy! Just choose the Shoe Box Swap add-on when registering to sign up for a nominal fee of $10. As a special thank you, all participants will receive an exciting gift from It’s Always An Adventure! Don’t miss out on the fun!
Due to space limitations, we will be limiting this activity to the first 48 participants who register. Registration will close when full.
We're eager to hear about the Lawn Fawn products you love and are using for your Shoe Box Creation! By sharing this info, we can ensure these products are stocked in our On-Site Store for others to grab once they get inspired while making your card! Keep an eye out for a survey link in an email sent to you in February 2027 to the event to be completed before the end of March 2027. We can't wait to learn more about your favorites! |

| Kelly Marie Alvarez's love for crafting started at a very young age, making greeting cards using crayons and notebook paper. She recently found a card she made for her grandfather at the age of eight that she labeled with "Kelly Cards Inc." on the back. A future in crafting was definitely meant to be!
After double majoring in biochemistry and music at University of California, San Diego, Kelly decided to follow her dreams and created Lawn Fawn. She owns and operates the company, along with her husband, Mike, and friend, Erica.
Kelly Marie is inspired by fun and bright design and interacting with crafters all around the world. She lives in Orange County, California, and when she is not crafting or running Lawn Fawn, she is playing music, reading, playing board games, and relaxing with Mike and their son, Miles, and dog, Mojito! |
|
| Rebecca Kaufmann is Kelly Marie’s right hand woman at Lawn Fawn HQ! She helps with the creative process, filming videos and cards, as well as designing their super amazing interactives. She can be seen (or heard) in different classes that Lawn Fawn is apart of! She kits all their make-n-takes to ensure their customers have a great time crafting with them, whether they are new to Lawn Fawn or addicts like her. Rebecca is a HUGE dog lover. In her free time, she loves going to the beach with her awesome family. She is their resident New Yorker and her favorite sets are Critters in the Burbs and Out of this World.

| Julie Kelly is passionate about teaching and designing card classes that spark creativity and confidence. Born and raised in Northern California, Julie has turned her lifelong love of crafting into a career filled with color, creativity, and connection.
Whether she's sharing her favorite techniques or guiding students through the magic of cardmaking, Julie’s classes are all about making learning fun and accessible. As a Copic Certified instructor, she’s especially known for her love of detail and helping crafters feel empowered with their tools.
Get ready to be inspired, get inky, and maybe even fall in love with a new technique or two—Julie’s excited to craft with you! |
| My name is Jennifer Ax, I have a PhD in chemistry and work as a consultant. I live with my partner in the southwestern tip of Germany, sandwiched between France and Luxembourg. We love to travel, especially to Japan or the USA.
At home, my passion is paper crafting. I started a long time ago, armed with a pen, scissors and a glue stick. Then, little by little, I worked my way up to a die cutting machine and bought my first branded stamps. Among them was my first Lawn Fawn set, Critters in the Forest. This set was the cornerstone of an ever-growing collection until I finally bought and used LF products almost exclusively. I love pink, cute images and playful designs. Interactive cards are my favourites and I always hope that my creations inspire you or at least bring a smile to your face. |
|
| Amanda Stevens is one of the founders of Pear Blossom Press, a company focused on offering unique and innovative products for papercrafters. As a long time crafter, she has worked with all types of mediums, but her favorite of all is cardmaking. She loves to take tools and techniques from other fields and develop them specifically for papercrafts. When she isn't teaching in person, or through videos, she is busy developing new products. “I can’t wait to craft with you; it’s so much more fun to craft with friends!” - Amanda
