Frontiers in Vaccinology 2026

The Center for Vaccine Development and Global Health at the University of Maryland School of Medicine invites you to their annual Frontiers in Vaccinology keynote address on October 1 at 3 PM.

This year's address, "Realizing the Global Potential of Vaccine Science & Implementation: Current Threats & Opportunities," will be delivered by Jeanne Marrazzo, MD, MPH, FACP, FIDSA, CEO of the Infectious Disease Society of America.

There will be a reception immediately following the seminar.

Dr. Jeanne Marrazzo was appointed Chief Executive Officer of the Infectious Diseases Society of America in January 2026. She previously served as the sixth Director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases at the National Institutes of Health from 2023 to 2025. Prior to that, she was Professor of Medicine and Director of the Division of Infectious Diseases at the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Medicine. Dr. Marrazzo was elected to the National Academy of Medicine in 2024. Her research portfolio spans the relationships between the vaginal microbiome and female reproductive tract infections, HIV pre-exposure prophylaxis, hormonal contraception, and the risk of STI/HIV acquisition.
