Grassland Birds Workshop

Join us for a workshop at Mounds View Grassland (MVG) to observe grassland birds in the wild and hear from experts discussing their habitat, behavior and the challenges they face.

Grassland birds, such as bobolinks and meadowlarks, are one of the many wonders of prairies and oak savannas. Sadly, these sights are becoming rarer as bird populations drop globally. Since 1970, the number of grassland birds in North America has decreased by over 50%. Much of this is due to habitat loss, so we are lucky to have restoration efforts like MVG to provide a home to these wonderful birds.
