| Who Should Attend: This training is exclusively for First Responders working in Stark County: Law Enforcement, Fire/EMS, Dispatchers.
This Advanced Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) session will provide Stark County first responders with an opportunity to learn more about the new Behavioral Health Urgent Center and how it can support individuals experiencing a behavioral health crisis.
Participants will receive an overview of the services available through the crisis center, including how first responders can utilize the center as an option for individuals in need of immediate behavioral health support. The session will also walk first responders through the process of bringing an individual to the center, including what to expect during a drop-off and how the transition to crisis services will work.
Following the presentation, first responders will tour the crisis center to become familiar with the space, available services, and overall process. The goal of this session is to help first responders better understand how the crisis center fits into the local crisis response system and how it can serve as a resource for both first responders and the community.
