Although Worcester has always hade more than its share of nationally known poets, the last five decades brought an explosion of organizations, venues, and series devoted to poetry in the city.
Join us to hear first-hand stories about the founding--and flourishing--of Worcester County Poetry Association, Poets' Asylum, Noh Place, Poetry Oasis, Dirty Gerund Poetry Show, and several legendary reading series.
The exhibit "The Poem Next Door" will open at 5:30pm, prior to the program start at 6:00pm.
