Osteopathic Approach to Dermatologic Conditions

Join us for the live, online, and in-person workshop on the Osteopathic Approach to Dermatologic Conditions. The Osteopathic Approach workshop series focuses on the application of osteopathic principles, including OMT techniques for treating dermatologic conditions. MAOPS has designated this course for a maximum of 2 AOA Category 1-A CME credits or 2 AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM. Registration is available now through May 6, 2025. All workshop participants must register online, even if they are not requesting CME credit.

This workshop is available at no cost for Still OPTI, NCOPPE, and MAOPS members. There is a $40 fee for non-members to register for the workshop.

Meet our Presenters

David Cleaver, DO, FAOCD, FAAD


Dr. Cleaver is an assistant professor of dermatology at Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine/A.T. Still University. He is a Past-President of the American Osteopathic College of Dermatology. He has been the Program Director for the dermatology residency training program at Northeast Regional Medical Center/ Still OPTI since 2015. He practices general dermatology with an interest in rural dermatology. He performs many different types of dermatological surgery, including Mohs surgery. Dr. Cleaver is also a principal investigator in multiple pharmaceutical clinical trials. Dr. Cleaver is a member of and fellow of the following: American Academy of Dermatology (FAAD), American Osteopathic College of Dermatology (FAOCD), American Society of Mohs Surgery, American Contact Dermatitis Society, and Missouri Dermatological Society. He is a past-President of the AOCD and is the President-elect of the Missouri Dermatological Society.  

Audelia Eben, DO


Audelia Eben, DO, is a PGY-2 dermatology resident at NRMC. She earned her BS in Neuroscience and Physiology from UC San Diego and her DO from Western University of Health Sciences. She completed her transitional year at Kaweah Health in Visalia, CA.

Dr. Eben is interested in skin cancer treatments and bullous diseases, with a passion for serving underserved communities. Fluent in four languages, she is dedicated to improving dermatologic care through inclusive communication. In her free time, she enjoys making espresso, painting, and spending time with loved ones.


Brock Davis, DO


Dr. Davis is a PGY-3 resident in the NRMC Dermatology residency program based at Cleaver Dermatology in Kirksville, MO. He received his Doctor of Osteopathy from West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine.

Jordan Lane, DO


Dr. Lane is a PGY-4 resident in the Still OPTI/Northeast Regional Medical Center Dermatology in Kirksville, MO. He received his Doctor of Osteopathy from New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathic Medicine.

Nicholas Noyce, DO


Dr. Noyce is originally from Utah. He received his Doctor of Osteopathy from Rocky Vista University and completed his intern year of residency at St. Anthony’s Medical Center in Oklahoma. He is currently a PGY2 resident in the Still OPTI/Northeast Regional Medical Center dermatology program in Kirksville, MO. In his spare time, he enjoys all outdoor activities and exploring with his kids. 

Course Description

A two-hour live workshop telecast to Still OPTI, NCOPPE, and MAOPS members that focuses on applying osteopathic principles in the clinical management of dermatologic conditions.


Education Objectives

  • Describe the rationale for the inclusion of OMM in the management of dermatological conditions
  • Demonstrate OMT techniques that are suitable for the adjunctive care of dermatological conditions
  • Describe the role of lifestyle management in dermatological conditions

Target Audience

Still OPTI, NCOPPE, and MAOPS attending physicians (DOs and MDs) and residents.

Professional Practice Gap

As part of the osteopathic medical training, both the clinical preceptors (faculty) and physicians-in-training need to be trained on the application of osteopathic principles in clinical practice. Specifically, the application of osteopathic principles in the clinical management of dermatologic conditions..

Accreditation Statement

Missouri Association of Osteopathic Physicians and Surgeons (MAOPS) is accredited by the American Osteopathic Association to provide osteopathic continuing medical education for physicians.


MAOPS designates this program for a maximum of 2 AOA Category 1-A CME credits and will report CME and specialty credits commensurate with the extent of the physician's participation.


The Missouri Association of Osteopathic Physicians and Surgeons (MAOPS) is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.


MAOPS designates this live activity for a maximum of 2 AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.


This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the accreditation requirements and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through the joint providership of the Missouri Association of Osteopathic Physicians and Surgeons (MAOPS) and NCOPPE. MAOPS is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

Grievance Policy

All grievances should be in writing and should specify the nature of the grievance. Initially, all grievances should be directed to MAOPS Executive Director, who will then forward said grievance to the Education & Convention Committee. All grievances will receive an initial response in writing within 30 days of receipt. If the participant does not receive a satisfactory response, then they can submit a complaint in writing to the Bureau of Osteopathic Education of the AOA at 142 East Ontario Street, Chicago, IL 60611.
