| One Dance at a Time is pleased to host our very first Mother-Son Semi-Formal Dance for sons aged 7 to adult. We want to honor all mothers, grandmothers, and godmothers with a wholesome multigenerational event celebrating this cherished relationship with dancing, food, and fellowship. We strongly encourage fathers to invite their mothers too!
Maria, assisted by our dance corps, will teach mothers and sons basic waltz and contra dances. No previous dance experience required. Hors d'oeuvres, desserts, punch, and water will be provided.
A note regarding our venue: Fr. Dan and the St. Dennis Parish community have graciously agreed to allow us to host this dance in the parish's gym. To protect the gym floor, we ask that ladies refrain from wearing high heeled shoes.
Attire: This is a formal black-tie preferred event, and as such we kindly ask attendees to respect the following requests:
Mothers: Please wear your favorite modest formal or semi-formal gown.
Sons: Please wear your favorite suit and tie. Tuxedos are welcomed and encouraged.
Cover Charge: $50 per mother with one son $10 each additional son $70 cap for mothers with more than 3 sons
Registration for this event will close on Sunday November 1st. A pre-purchased ticket is required for this event. We kindly ask everyone to please register by this date so we can plan accordingly. We look forward to seeing you!
