Facilitation of Language Through Play

It is not uncommon for children with special needs to present with a limited vocabulary and poor use of functional language. When children lack age-appropriate language, their overall behavior and socialization skills are negatively impacted.

This course will provide participants with a general understanding of the importance of providing what language skills really mean. Based upon that understanding, the audience leave this workshop with a comprehensive understanding and with hands-on tools to assist the children in developing language skills that enable them to understand their world and be able to express themselves.
