Basic Tutor Training - Nov. 14 and 21

This course is for anyone interested in learning how to be an effective teacher or tutor of English for adult learners. This 2-part workshop provides essential tools to get started or to refresh your knowledge and skills. The in-person workshop is at PCC Southeast campus on consecutive Saturdays, November 14, & November 21, 9:00 am - 2:30 pm.

Please bring a lunch.

As part of your registration, you will receive the "Guide for Training Volunteer Literacy Tutors" workbook.

Instructor: Lucy Marincel is an ESOL instructor and a Volunteer Coordinator at Portland Community College. She has been teaching for over 10 years. She began her career as an ESOL literacy volunteer in Minnesota.

7-13 days before the course date: 50% refund (materials have already been ordered/sent).
Within 6 days of the course date or no-show: No refund.
PLC-initiated cancellations: Full refund.
