Join us for the next Community Partnerships & Outreach Interest Group meeting on Friday, Sept. 4, at 9:00 a.m. at the Palm Coast Library. 

Connect with colleagues as we discuss successful (and not-so-successful) outreach programs, share marketing swag, and enjoy lunch together.

In the afternoon, David Gibson of Halifax Health will present on aromatherapy and wellness. The group will then have a Q&A with David about additional community programs offered by Halifax Health. The meeting concludes at 3:00 p.m.

Interest Group Facilitator: Gemma Rose

Gemma Rose has worked in a diverse range of libraries, including public, academic, and archival institutions, for more than 20 years. She currently serves as the Assistant Branch Manager of the Palm Coast Library in Flagler County. Gemma is passionate about adult programming, community outreach, and building strong community partnerships through innovative and engaging events. She is recognized for coordinating unique programs such as glass blowing workshops, kitten yoga, the Veteran Resource Fair, the Hate Ends Now Cattle Car Experience, and the Banned Book Club for Teens, among many others. Outside of the library, Gemma enjoys spending time at Disney World, where she can often be found wearing Minnie ears with a Dole Whip in hand.

These projects were funded either under the provisions of the Library Services and Technology Act from the Institute of Museum and Library Services or the Library Cooperative Grant program. Florida’s LSTA and LCG programs are administered by the Department of State’s Division of Library and Information Services.

For FY2025-26, the total state and federal budgets for NEFLIN's programs are $710,000. 30% of the total costs (210,000) are supported by federal funds, and 70% of this program ($500,000) is supported by state funds.
