Veterans deserve dignity, respect and comfort in every stage of life. Palliative care provides specialized medical support that enhances quality of life, manages pain, and supports emotional and spiritual well-being for veterans and their families.

Do you have symptoms that make it difficult to be as active as you would like to be, or impact your quality of life?

Do you, or someone close to you, need help with: · Knowing what to expect

· Knowing what programs and resources are available

· Making medical decisions about treatment choices/options

· Matching your goals and values to your medical care

· Understanding the pros and cons (benefits/burdens) of treatments (e.g., dialysis, additional cancer treatments, surgery, etc.)

· Spiritual or religious support

· Talking with your family about your illness and what is important to you

During our time together, we will hear about the challenges our veterans with chronic or serious illness experience. We will discuss access to services, information about palliative care services, and challenges patients and families face surrounding complex and serious illness of a loved one.
