Is the SACReD Gathering for me?

The SACReD Gathering is for:

1. anyone who is beginning to learn about faith and Reproductive Justice; 
2. secular movement partners who want to explore and/or deepen faith-based organizing; 
3. more experienced leaders who want to translate theory into deeper practices;
4. all who want to connect to a network of people for whom religion and the call for justice are inextricably linked.

What can you expect at the from the SACReD Gathering?

Our plenaries will feature visionary organizers, artists, and faith leaders; our workshops and caucus spaces will offer practical skills and opportunities for deeper connections; our Spirit Space will offer respite, healing, and release; our shared meals, receptions, and the wonders of New Orleans will provide fellowship, joy, and a sense of abundance. At the SACReD Gathering you will get to:

• Expand your understanding of Reproductive Justice so we can build a world of Joy, Justice, Wholeness, Compassion for everyone.
• Learn from faith-based Reproductive Justice work happening right now and strengthen your capacity for action, especially in 2024.
• Develop your theology of Reproductive Justice to strengthen your advocacy in your community and congregation(s).
• Practice healing rituals that invite affirmation, connection, and ease, that offer opportunities to transform and release shame and other harms.
• Add new skills to your tool box including: Reproductive Justice informed pastoral care; practical steps for connecting with abortion funds and repro service providers; base building, facilitation, and vital organizing skills
• Build community with other people of faith who are committed to this work. Break isolation so we can build power and possibility together.

We are offering SACReD Gathering Tickets at a range of prices in an effort to make sure that all of our SACReD Community is able to join us. We invite you, your congregation, or your organization to consider the systemic power and range of resources you have access to (financial, institutional, communal), and choose your ticket level with that information in mind.

In addition to the tiered ticket prices, folks are invited to contribute to the Scholarship fund directly in $10 increments. We are actively working to secure additional funds to support more SACReD Gathering Scholarships. We will make those available as soon as we are able.
