Participants will learn to utilize a person-centered and trauma informed approach when responding to little people with big behaviors. Crisis Prevention Intervention training (CPI) is a worldwide training model used across many industries. You will be prepared to handle situations, through verbal intervention, by setting limits that de-escalate challenging behaviors. You'll gain techniques that align w/ the behaviors & communication types of individuals on the autism spectrum and other mental health concerns. The afternoon will be spent learning and practicing disengagement and holding skills. |
