Christopher Adam Love, Psy.D.
Christopher Love (goes by “Adam) grew up in the foothills of North Carolina. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Appalachian State University in 2005. He then earned his Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology from Regent University in 2010. He completed his internship at Florida State Hospital in Chattahoochee, Florida. After internship, he has worked in a variety of settings, including a state psychiatric hospital setting, a community mental health setting, and in correctional mental health settings. Dr. Love began his VA career in 2019 at Mountain Home VA Medical Center. He continued to work in other settings as well, including doing work with vocational rehabilitation, a local residential treatment facility, a community psychiatric hospital, and a substance use clinic that assisted with medication-assisted treatment. He transitioned to Asheville VA Medical Center in 2024 and began work as the Workplace Violence Prevention Program Coordinator. His areas of clinical interest include Dialectical Behavior Therapy, integration of faith into mental health practice, inpatient group therapy, personality disorders, and providing consultation services regarding mental health services and treatment planning. He is currently licensed as a psychologist with health service provider designation in Tennessee. In his spare time, Dr. Love enjoys spending time with his family, playing guitar, and watching/suffering through another Dallas Cowboys football season.
